Founded in 1948, St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Anguilla is a young parish with a membership of over 300 registered parishioners. The church has a rich history, starting with a small chapel and rectory built by a small community of a dozen individuals. Despite a hurricane damaging their original building, the parishioners persevered and found a new gathering place at the Wallblake House, donated by Marie Lake. In 1966, a new church was built, and in 1984, the first Divine Word Missionary arrived on the island. St. Gerard's is a vibrant community, offering religious education classes, St. Vincent de Paul meetings, choir practices, youth group activities, housebound visits, and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
